the CONCERT of the year ~~

LINKIN PARK - Minutes to Midnight concert... live in NZ.




Lets just say, it was well worth every penny. Chris Connell was good as the guest star, but the band at the back wasn't that good, bass too loud - completely covering Chris with their sound. But that was not important, what was important is the fact that LINKIN PARK ROCK!!!
The lighting was fantastic, sound was good incomparison to the PINK concert. Just a slight mishap at the start when Chester's mic stopped working. (Doubt anyone noticed actually haha everyone was too excited that the show was starting...)
Through the whole night they played song from the album "Meteor" "Hybrid theory" and of coz their latest album "Minutes to Midnight".
The highlight for me was when Chester sang Crawling with no other musical instrument but Mike on the keyboard. It is surprising how he can go from soft to rock in one whole concert with no stress on his voice.
Overall - GREAT CONCERT.. I will give it 9/10... 10/10 if VECTOR ARENA had a big screen so I can actually get close up view of the guys on stage ><

食肉獸的天堂～

Went and got my haircut on Friday with ar SUK, as the place was recommended by her workmate. That korean hair-dresser was pretty good, so will definitely keep her as my regular now hoho. Esp when the time we book the appointment was at 530pm, and we actually got there at like 6 =.= poor lady, it was super nice of her to wait for use seeing she usually closes at 530. Anyway, after ward.... it was time to find a place to eat. That didn't took us very long, as we both came to the idea of ANGUS steak house hehehe.... seeing uncle was dinning with us ^_^ so it was a good idea to have some MEAT. hoho. Let just say, I sooo did not regret haha... the place was nice and cozy, salad consist of VEGES haha... (it is a meat eater place after all, so cant expect tooo much from the free salad bar.) But the meat was just WOW... @@ ... it was surprising how big each piece was, and how much some of the people in that place can eat.....

Anyway, we ordered lamb blade, venison, beef (sorry forgot what type we ordered...).
All 3 was cook to the way we wanted, but the lamb was just PERFECTLY done... ^3^.

Will def go again hehehe.

HarryPotter + starbuck + random pic

Went and saw HarryPotter... ummm okey la... neck kinda died after the movie haha. Someone was LATEEEE so end up sitting in the front row lorrrrrr T_T .... *that person owe me dinner hoho* but overall... okey la -.- not really that good, harry all grown up ... not cute anymore hahaha.
Went to dinner afterward @ mentaz... another disappointment, food not nice anymore... service okey but the cook must have changed coz the food was rather BAD....
Atleast we had a nice coffee at starbuck --- expresso brownie... haha don't try, not nice... might as well bake it urself.. atleast you can be sure the coffee used for the brownie would be something that TASTE GOOD.
Anyway overall.. fun nite hehe... always good to go off for some fun after work ^^
Next movie --- DIEHARD4... yeaaaaaaaaaa "yippy ya yey" hahaha...

Nickies Thai Cuisine~~

Went and tried a thai restaurant @ New Market on Satureday.
The Pad Thai was nice but tasted more like tomatoe fried egg @@.
Tom Yum Gon was not spicy enough... (we had the medium hot... should have went for hot HOT)
The rest of the food was nice, but as described by the waitress --- more european thai flavour then original thai flavour.

Overall --- average!!






haha.. after dinner went to play new card game .... and saw a funny shop sign :P

Yummy Court ~~

Had another great weekend, filled with fun and excitment and of coz not to mention GREAT FOOD :P
Making it a habit now to play as hard as I can on Satureday, ^_^ somehow just feel soooo happy nowadays. Feel like something have lifted and I am now back to what I am suppose to be haha.. yea sound quite weird, I don't even know what I am really feeling now. All I can say is, I am truely HAPPY ~~~~

Anyway need to mention the food location that I have visited lately. Firstly went to shabushabu recently @ the location of New Market (where pearl garden use to be). It had a good atmosphere, can eat all you want and the food was not bad. The Chilli hot pot was yummmmm heheh.. not hot at all but the flavour was quite good :P
Secondly went to "Yummy Court", heard about it from a friend so had really wanted to try it out. It was definitely worth the trip going all the way to Balmoral ... hehe okey fine it was not that far la, and there is quite alot of parking on the side street so not a fussy place to visit.
The siu lung bao is SUPERB, lot of juice and the skin was super thin ^_^ .. thumbs up!!
The wo tip also super super nice, all freshly prepared... ummmm but the best would have to be their tofu fa... @@ mouth watering, and really really smooth. This is a place I am definitely going to be going back again. Probably not anytime soon, but will keep it on my list of place to return to.

Anyway, night time event basically consist of playing pool for me for the last 2 week. hehehe ...
oh and a odd day of spending 2 hour at uni at like 1130 - 130 hahaha... oh yea thats not am.. thats 1130pm - 130am hahaha... Was actually quite nice, had the whole lab to ourself and we spend the time playing BOMBER MAN hahahaha.. shhhhhhh haha.

THE FUZZ IS HERE @@ ... runnnn

Haha.. okey another random event that I need to blog about. During the last hour of a normal day at work, while talking to someone that HATE MY KIND... and of coz WE HATE THEIR KIND AS WELL... anyway while talking to HER... haha... we came up with the idea of ... WHY NOT HAVE A MOVIE NIGHT???? A few thing happen after that idea that help moved us faster toward the conclusion of watching movie.

1. We are both bored, and my squash session got posponed.
2. We feel like we have to get back up to date with our movies T-T
3. There was a 2 - 4- 1 movie ticket deal for telecome customer @@ *****
4. We just wanna go out and have some fun
5. Movie club member have a deal .. $5 for 2 choctop hehehe

So yea point 3 was actually the main influence for our decision.. (hey comeon, we are still just starting in the workforce. Can't just go and squander away our life saving ga... so we ain't CHEAP ... hahahaha..... okey maybe just a little.. :P )

Okey, movie start at 1800hr. Finalise decision at 1720. Left work 1735

1. Me, the all important person carring the discount, left important cellphone in car. T_T...sorrrrrrrry.....
2. Counter person was a trainee, gave us 2 different movie ticket, took ages to give us our movie club card, does not know how to give us choctop special =.= just wasted more time.
   

We finally entered the cinema at 1820 .... T_T~~~

Anyway overall - greatest movie ever, especially at the price we paid to watch it hahaha. Another great Pom movie, with all the Pom humor and accent haha... And the way they make fun of the American movie is just hilarious. There was actually abit more blood and gore then I would have expected, but it was not those kind that will cause you to recoil in disgust and fear. They blend it in well with the humour of the situation so that the viewer will actually just purely ignore the blood and just laugh at the whole situation. eg.. tip of tower through mouth haha.... Now that I have seen this movie, I wonder if "Shawn of the Dead" will be any similar to this one. As they were created by the same producer and also contain most of the same actor/comedian @@ ... ummm worth renting and checking out.

Okey so yea after the movie, food is a must. So went to DEE JAI *got another coupon to use up* to have another taste of authentic PAD THAI. Rating... ummmm ... to be honest, I can't remember T_T which must mean it was not that much good. The prawn toast was too deep fried so you couldn't really taste the prawn. aiiii incomparable to HK restaurant ga la. ><~~
Anyway, had a nice chat at the restaurant. Catched up with lot of event and happening around friends. OVERALL WAS A GREAT NITE OUT ^_^. Will definitely be planning more random event like this one. hehehehehe......

"Cockle" bay ~~

Lovely weather today. Had a shower in the morning but then the sun came right out and dried everything haha. Anyway went out again with family today, packed the food this morning and then set off to the beach. Was planning to go to shelly beach, but then couldn't find the road leading to the beach so ended up at "COCKLE BAY". *shelly beach as I had from dad, was where I first had the "tug of war" competition in primary with another school, man those were the days. running around barefooted, screaming random english as I was still learning at that time haha and yet having great fun with the european kids.. haha... mannnnn I think god might have felt sorry for dad not to have any son hahah therefore gave him a daughter with the attitude and personality of a guy hahahaha... oh man thats bad bad bad hahaha... I am sooooo degrading myself @@ ... * Anyway back to the point, went to COCKLE BAY. Had a picnic there which was like great and all but seeing it was low tide, we couldn't really go into the water and play. As we were munching on our food and talking about family stuff haha I notice people going out toward the beach and they were picking stuff off the ground. It finally clicked that, this is the beach where people can pick cockles @@ . haha so off I went with mum with our little plastic bag for a little cockle picking adventure. Dad was not in the mood to join our little fun so he stayed in the car with the dog hehe. Anyway was great fun picking cockle, everyone was allowed 50 cockle each, if you pick more then that then you will either be fine or taken to jail @@ . *sooo not worth going to jail for cockles*
But yea, picked some fat looking cockle, mum got tricked by some mighty fat ones, coz when we got home I found out that most of the FAT FAT ones was dead cockle with their shell filled up with sands T-T .... result of being greedy.
Will cook the cockle later on in the week, as it is always wise to leave the cockle soaking in fresh water for a few days just so they will spit out whatever sand / grim in their system making them nice and clean to CONSUME :p wehhehehe......

Lantern festival ~~

Went to the Lantern Festival on Satureday. Had lot of nice food, quite alot of satay and some other chinese fried stuff :P
Would have to say that this year's LANTERN were reallly really pretty. Nothing much to add to this, so enjoy the pic ba ^-^

Tahuna Torea Nature Reserve~~

星期日:晴天 ﹐最適合一家人去步行了!!!。爸爸在報紙看見"top 10 bush walk"的文章﹐所以我們就一家人去了 Tahuna Torea Nature Reserve...
本來路程之需要20分鐘....但是因為我看錯地圖的關係﹐我們就1hr先到目的地. T-T *got told off by dad as well aiiiiii... *
但是那個地方真的是好漂亮﹐好安寧的。。 一定會再去。。
oh yea, saw alot of MUD CRAB hehehe.. 7th form bio haha...

But that place was realllly pretty, can just go there and sleep on the grass for the whole day

summerTime

Stuck at home today, worry I might stress out if I leave the house with the company phone. So to enjoy the day, I went around the garden and house with my camera and took some random photos. ^-^ . Will upload them later.

Had a chat with a mate on the topic of summerTime. The weather has been soooo great lately, the sun is shining and the temperature is soooo HOT. So we are now in the process of planning a BEACH OUTING. Living in Auckland has its advantage, we always have access to a nearby beach. So as not to waste this natural resource we will use it to its max during this wonderful summer.

Another year older .. hehehe

Satureday 20th January. Today was a day of fun and celebration. Started off the day by going to Kbox. Me and joanna got there RIGHT ON TIME.. and thought we could atleast sing all the song we wanted before the girls arrive hehehe .... but to our surprise, the main system for the place have crashed and after several rebooting of the computer system the staff decided on rebooting the main server. haha oh well lucky did not start counting down the time on our arrival or else we would have lost 20min of our precious singing time. We went through all of our favourite song, and during the last half an hour or so we started to sing our high school hit hahaha.. WEST LIFE, BACKSTREET BOYS... wehehe... yes yes and someone started oooo-ing at one of the main singer for backstreet boys haha... *sorry I tried not to pick on you lor.. haha... and I guess I agree with you that he is cute la hhaa... * Anyway, after K, we went to our next venue. haha . Quite funny really, it is another high street main attraction - "YI FARN". omg haha... haven't been there for like soooo long, feel sooo old seeing the college kid crowding inside, taking sticker photos and playing drum mania, DDR etc etc etc. Took a memorable sticker photo which turned out quite nicely and then played some game seeing we were in an arcade. Finally got to cue city at 515pm. Played some pool and then went off to POMPINO.... main attraction for the nite. I had my bday celebration with another bud of mine who's bday is like they day right after mine haha.... so was great fun. Took like 150+ picture on the nite and have not deleted a single one of them as all of them was so as special as the next.
The dinner was great and the pressies was even more surprising. Let's just say I had a BLAST. It was the best best best night ever ^-^. Ended the night with more pool and then all went home at around 130am.

new year ~~ new beginning

Well well well, here we are on the first day of 2007. 2006 went by fast, so many things have happened, so many happy and sad memories.
So I was thinking, why not do a recap of what have happened in 2006 for me. Maybe other who read my blog can do the same as well ^-^....

• Jan - spend the start of 2006 in HK, with a bunch a great friends and my popo ^^
• Feb - hahaha still in Hong kong shopping my brains out haha
• May - Graduation and start of my working career
• July - *sad* my most precious pet passed away, been with me since form 6. Will always remember the time he steal my stuff and hide them under my bed, how he play on my desk while I study for exam, sleep next to me on the floor when I falled asleep watching tv, bite my feet after shower and the way he just run around like a crazy little ball of fur bumping into stuff. I was lucky to have been choosen by him, as he was a stray ferret that just happened to choose our home as his stay. Baby boy, I'll miss you always and always ><>
• Aug - Started my 2nd job. ^-^
• Oct - PURSUIT 2006... wehehehehe a real life "amazing race" but in a shorter form, less prizes and also it is held in the middle of auckland. CBD . (me and sy got 3 to last I think..or was it second hahahaha.. stupid skycity...)
• Nov - guy fawkes day ...
• Dec - 1 day trip to whitianga, went off road with my little 1.5ltr colt. *WOW* And of coz not to forget, 2006 to 2007 COUNTDOWN, which we somehow missed because of the TIME DIFFERENCE @@ hahaha.....

WEll well wellllll... that seem to be it for 2006, I am sure there was more then that, but I can definitely say, with the kind of memory I have this is already a pretty good recap of 06 events.

company xmas function

Okey, time to have a blog on my company xmas function. As you might have already realise, this years xmas theme was "THE TOP CHEF".
Anyway, me and my friend got to the party at 7pm, 30 min late but it was okey coz we were not the LAST. When we arrived on site, we were given our name tag and a christmas hat with flashing stars. The colour of the hat represent what team we will be in for the nites competition. @@ scaryyyy.... The waiter there was nice enough to force a cup of fruit punch into everyone's hand on arrival, declining the drink was NOT ACCEPTED. As he just keep walking around pushing the cup into ppl's hand.
Party offically started at 8pm with the first competition, group of 10 was split further into teams of 4 people. Me, vicki and 2 other workmate was in the first 4. Our job was the create the ENTREE was the nite. The owner, and the head chef of the restaurant came and gave us a few lesson on pizza making and then left us to our own.
Bread dips, pizza and mini pizza bread was created and then left to be judeged by the judges (CEO, BIG HEAD, BIG HEAD PARTNER AND CEO PARTNER @@ ) haha.
Great thing was, MY TEAM CAME TOP with the entree, and everone praised us on our ORGANISED our team was... muahahahahahahah.......
Anyway let just say we ended up winning 2 our of the 3 competition, and our party didn't end till 1am. (we got to eat the main at 11pm... >< .... and everyone was sooo tired after that) But I guess, this being my first ever company xmas function. I have no complain as it was really different and to a point, it was FUN. Picture still in my laptop so I will post those up later. ^^

Just found out about the company XMAS function today. .... dada!

YES!! This year Xmas function theme is the "TOP CHEF" hahaha.... and we are asked to bring an apron, if we don't have any.. they will be provided.. @@ hahaha.. cooooool
But yea the resturant where I will spend my first company xmas function is at ....
"Mission Bay - Andrea Italian Restaurant" - cooking class avaliable for booking as well.
I reckon the theme was pretty cool, as I had been a great fan of the tv reality series TOP CHEF. I wish I can cook like them T-T, would loveeeeeee to have a kitchen like those guys as well hahahah. ** dream on **

Anyway, will be posting up picture of what happen during the xmas function on sunday. So check back if you wanna know what happened.. BEHIND THE SCENE @@ ... oooooo.....

Oh yea Oh yea... our ZOMBIE club finally got its member their own little zombie symbol. My little guy arrived on Satureday, and finally arrived at my place on sunday ^^.
